I. What is a house church :

Church in the home:

*A place of learning about God through Bible studies,
*worship God together
*provide ministry: pray for each other, meet needs, support each other
*mentored, discipled (help people grow up spiritually)
*teaching others to do what you have done,
*Christian fellowship.

Nothing new: church began in the house in the book of Acts. Building momentum. Seems to be one way God is reaching the harvest and discipling and equipping the His people.

The idea is to take church to where the people are in neighborhoods. Many people will never ever go to a traditional church. Their children will not learn about God unless someone goes to where they are. Meeting the needs in a shepherding way of people without a shepherd or pastor.

Children and teens are within walking distance so they can attend. People without vehicles can attend.

Most churches don't do much evangelizing. They wait for people to come in and many, many people will never go. Most churches growth comes from Christians switching churches rather than the lost coming in. We must go get them.

Chosen Explosions specific mandates from God:

1. We are to be a light in dark places by showing the love of Jesus to those that don't know Him.

2. Evangelistic - We have a call to lead people to Christ and restore those who have drifted away from God. We are to be an active soul winning church. We are to take church to where the people are, in their own neighborhoods.

3. We have a call be a church of Gods power. To see miracles in peoples lives of all sorts. To operate freely in all Gods gifts. Prophecy, tongues, interpretation of tongue, words of knowledge, words of wisdom, healing, miracles, faith, discernment.

4. We have a call to be a church of multiplication by training and sending leaders of all ages. Our goal is to plant thousands of churches. One in every neighborhood. Our vision is worldwide. We want to plant churches in every state and around the world. The Internet will help us do that by connecting us with like minded people, the people that God has called to do this work.

We are an apostolic, church planting church.

5. We have a specific call toward children and youth and building strong families by ministering to families. We are a very youth oriented church by Gods mandate.

The Lord specifically told us that no one knew how to do the thing that he wanted us to do that we would have to seek him for directions and He would show us what to do. He has been faithful to do that.

The vision and mandates for all Chosen Explosion House Churches will remain the same but the methods of accomplishing the vision and mandates will vary from church to church.

II. Why is God doing raising up neighborhood ministries like Chosen Explosion?

Common Societal Problems:

poverty
sexual addictions
denomination
violence
pain and suffering
teen suicide
teen violence
Drug addictions alcohol abuse
child abuse
incest
hopelessness
helplessness
mental illness
sickness

Mans sinful nature and sin itself is the cause of these problems.

Our world gets darker and darker. It has gotten so much worse in the last 20 years, I cannot imagine what it will be like in 20 more.

III. What is the answer?

There is only one. Jesus!

*If people would give their lives to Christ and live in accordance to His word, Satan would have no room to work in their lives.
*Gods power would set them free from every thing that binds them.
*If people lived according to Gods word there would be no alcholism, no drug addictions, no demonic possessions, no violence, no suicide, no child abuse, etc.
*God and His word truly are the answer to all our problems! If everyone would live for God our worlds problems would be solved, no more war, no more famine, etc.

What was the ministry of Jesus? He preached, healed the sick, cast out devils, discipled, mentored, evangelized. In short He destroyed the works of darkness and advanced Gods Kingdom.

How: People must be told, they must be ministered to. Someone must do the work that Jesus left us to do. Someone must take the good news of freedom through Christ to them.

Everyone will not accept Jesus, but many will.

Whose responsibility is it to tell them?

Every Christians. Every Christian is supposed to be a minister of Jesus. We are supposed to all be His disciples and do the same things he did. Jesus was our example.

Everyone has a role to play, pray and ask God what you can do.

John 14:12-14 Most assuredly I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in my Name, that I will do that the father may be glorified in the son, if you ask anything in my name I will do it.

Our Commission: Mark 16:15-18 He said to them , Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick and they will recover.

Verse 19 and 20 So then after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen

Jesus is working with us, praying for us and giving us his power and authority through his name

In partnership with God. He gave us His Holy Spirit

1 John 16:7 Nevertheless, we tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away for if I do not go away the helper will not come to you, but if I depart, I will send Him to you.

*He empowers us.
*He helps us.
*We must do the work, but He works inside of us, He flows through us.
*He is the one that convicts of sin or help people to know they need a savior. We speak truth but the Holy Ghost helps people know it is true. We are not to condemn but to speak truth in love.

Alone we can do so little but together and with God nothing is impossible!

If each house church by reaching out to their own neighborhood, family and friends builds a church of 36 people in their home in one years time, including children, teens and adults and sends out just 2 groups of people in that year to begin a church in their house what will it look like in the years to come?

At this same rate at the end of 5 years our numbers will be 3,916 with 243 churches!

But then it really starts growing in another 5 years at the same growth rate our numbers will be 700,000 and mushrooming to over 6 million in just 2 more years with over a half million churches planted in neighborhoods!

Our purpose and our goal is not to build a mega church, even though we will.

Our purpose and our goal is to build His church, to see souls saved and people set free from demonic powers.

Imagine hundreds of thousands of kids accepting Jesus as their Lord and being discipled.

Imagine hundreds of thousands of youth accepting Jesus as their Lord and being discipled.

Imagine hundred of thousands of families having Christ brought into the center of their lives.

How would this change our neighborhoods? Our Cities? Our Nation? Our World?

Our heart is one with Gods.

Our eyes is on the harvest.

Together with Him we can do it.

Lord, we ask you tonight to make us one in unity with you and your heart for the harvest. Bind us together. Show us what you would have each of us to do to serve you individually. Empower us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
