God has a wonderful gift for you!
This gift is called Salvation......
Within this gift, you will find everlasting life. That means your spirit, which is the real you, will never have to die. You can spend eternity (forever), beginning right now, in the kingdom of God, never separated from God!
Within this gift of salvation you will find many wonderful things, hope for your future, healing for your body, peace for your mind, material things for your needs, companionship and guidance, along others.
In return for this gift you have to give yourself to the one, true, living God. You have to invite Jesus to be your Lord, and live your life in accordance to His word.
In return, He will withhold no good thing from you.
In the beginning God created man with which to love and to fellowship. He made us perfect and in His very own image. Our world was a perfect place with perfect love and fellowship with God.
Because God loved us so much, He gave us freewill. He gave us the ability to make our own choices. He is a God of freedom.
Unfortunately, Adam and Eve used this freedom to choose Satan's temptation to sin by disobeying God.
Through one man, Adam, sin entered the world and Satan became the god of this world. Every child born into the earth after this was born into sin.
God is a holy God. He cannot be in fellowship with sin. Scripture says that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin. The penalty for sin is that high.
For many years man's sins were forgiven by the shedding of animals blood. This, coupled with faith provided a means of mans obtaining righteousness, or right standing with God. However, this was only a temporary fix to man's sin problem, and to God's problem of separation from his beloved creation.
God had a plan......
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
God sent His son Jesus, who was the perfect sacrifice, without sin, to shed His blood so that you and I could be forgiven. He laid down his majesty in heaven and came to earth to die for us, but He didn't stay in the grave! On the third day, He rose from the dead! Jesus is alive, in heaven praying for us and waiting for the time when we will be joined to Him forever.
The death and resurrection of Jesus broke the chains of sins. He paid our sin debt so that we wouldn't have to.
You don't have to live in bondage to sin any longer. You don't have to live in bondage to sickness, pain, poverty, confusion or any other work of darkness. God has made a door of escape from Satan's kingdom. That door of escape is Jesus.
Won't you walk through that door right now? Receive Gods gift....
Say,
Lord, I have sinned. Please forgive me. Come into my life and make me brand new. I believe you died for me and rose from the dead. I reject Satan and I forever give my life to you. Be my Lord, my savior and my best friend forever. I now put my trust in you alone for my salvation and I thank you. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
If you prayed that simple prayer and meant it, you have just been born-again! I welcome you into God's kingdom. You are now a child of the one, true, living God!
Now what?
It is very important that you tell someone about your new commitment to serve Jesus. Romans 10:10 says:
For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Confess that Jesus is your Lord.
It is also important that you begin to read the Holy Bible every day. It is your instruction book as a child of God. It is God's words directly to you. When we first accept Jesus as our Lord, we are like new born babies spiritually speaking. God's word is our nourishment, like milk is for a baby. Read God's words and you will grow strong. The more you read the faster you will grow.
It is also important that you pray (talk to God) every day. God wants an intimate relationship with you and that will only come through fellowship with Him. Talk to Him as you would a loved and trust friend, that is what He is!
Fellowship with believers. Find a strong Bible believing church that can support you and help you grow in your Christian faith. If you know other Christians, call them and tell them you accepted Jesus as your Lord. Try to surround yourself with other believers that will help, rather than hinder your faith in Jesus.
